About SoLinkable

What is SoLinkable?
  SoLinkable is your evolving bookmark, it is a place to gather, a source of all that is new, interesting, or popular on the internet. SoLinkable allows you to share stories with others, browse and vote on links submitted by users like you, or discuss your opinions with like-minded people. We are run by the community, for the community. We depend on people like you to make the experience better for others.

So How Does It Work?
  It's simple. Start by submitting a story you think that we should all be reading. Once submitted it is placed in the queue where the article becomes open to the community. It is free to be praised, scrutinized, or just ignored. Any user can vote up the story if its deemed worthy, or vote it down into oblivion for any reason (or for none at all). Once a story has recieved enough votes it is then promoted to the front (or "Promoted Links") page where its chance to be seen increases greatly. Without the required number of votes the story just languishes away in the purgatory known as "Queued Links". The community will unltimately choose what will make (or won't make) it to the front page.
  The Promoted/Queued Links system follows the Digg system, but Gravity follows that of Reddit. It is currently still in beta with the possiblity of someday becoming the main voting system of SoLinkable. Basically it works like this: an algorithm takes the age of a submission and compares it to the amount of votes it has recieved in this time. The algorithm then assigns a numerical value to this submission. In the end, a new story with a few votes > a new story > an old story with a few votes > an old story.

How Do I Submit/Vote/Comment?
  Thats simple too! Just register. Thats it. Anyone can participate, anyone at all.
